Lock up your sons. The Shining Twins are coming. East Village punkers The Shining Twins, Alex and Marisa, have had NYC buzzing since hitting the scene in 2009, playing standing-room-only shows with Adam Green, The Black Keys, Lemonheads, Cassie Ramone, Juliana Hatfield, Mark Ronson and Fear to name a few. Driven by the ragged punk sounds of the 70s, The Shining Twins smash sweet sounding girl angst into grunge to create the perfect soundtrack to a reckless weekend. This year the Twins turned the heads of Thrasher, NME, Interview Magazine and Nylon as they tore up the music and fashion scene, performing in Tokyo at Le Baron, Art Basel in Miami, Jalouse Rocks in Paris and at SXSW.

Starting September 30th the Twins hitch up as main support for pal Evan Dando and The Lemonheads for the “It’s A Shame About Ray” tour across the US and in the UK. Their first single, “Greasy Bear,” will be released on Volcom Entertainment fall 2011.
