Technology has radically altered the face of the music industry; the marketing platforms of yesteryear are no longer sufficient for audience development and distribution. As a result, the industry must rely on new platforms - Internet, mobile, on-demand, social networks - to drive demand. The proposed presentation will examine how professional sports has emerged as another powerful new platform for the music industry to help drive demand, engagement, distribution and revenue.
