Camilo is Head of Strategy at RAPP New York. His client experience expands across a wide variety of brands including: Mercedes-Benz, Travel Channel, Johnson & Johnson, Merck, Pfizer, GlaxoSmithKline, Humana, Sprint-Nextel, DIRECTV, Nissan North America, and Unilever. In his current role, he leads a team of 30+ professionals across planning, business intelligence, cultural strategy, user experience design, and content strategy. He believes that EQ is more useful than IQ; that style and substance cannot possibly be separated; and that culture wants to change and rewards those ready to help. Previously, as Planning Director at independent shop The Vidal Partnership (TVP) in New York City, Camilo played a major role in developing TVP’s digital group from scratch and positioning the agency to be recognized by the industry as best-in-class multiple times, including Ad Age A-List in 2006, and Ad Age Five Stars in 2005. Camilo holds a master’s degree in media studies from The New School University in New York City, where he studied media design and communications theory. His work has been recognized by the industry numerous times including Internet Advertising Competition (IAC) Awards, Web Marketing Association, American Association of Advertising Agencies (AAAA), Webby’s, Mixx Awards, and Clio Healthcare Awards. Camilo lives in Brooklyn with his wife Bettina and two children.
