Deanna Rockefeller is an innovation and communications strategist in Business Innovation at Lockheed Martin. Her experience has been with start-up companies or start-up organizations within a larger corporation. Her key to success is a holistic view combining business development, program management, marketing and communications. She is also an Emmy award-winning producer and has a strong focus on STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) education. She led the host sponsorship of the 2010 USA Science & Engineering Festival, the first national science festival attracting over a million people. She is currently focused on the business strategy for integrating innovation into the US health care industry. Prior to this role, she was a program manager for Lockheed Martin’s contract with the U.S. House of Representatives where she managed the program and led all new business and customer retention activities. Before joining Lockheed Martin, she was a Global Business Development Consultant for Verizon Business and managed their International customer strategy in EMEA and Asia. She has professional qualifications in domestic and international strategic planning, corporate and government communications, program development and management, and business development. She received her MBA from Baylor University and completed her international studies in France. She is a member of the Junior League of New York City and volunteers with the Childrens Aid Society.
